are typecast into narrow classifications, the Worx stand
apart in a class of their own. Each member brings their
own musical experiences, preferences and tastes to the
table, creating an experience guaranteed to satisfy any
audience. The five members are consummate musicians,
dedicated to perfecting their craft. This means each
exciting show is being presented by professionals giving
their very best and enjoying themselves as well as their
audience. Readers of the News & Advance voted The
Worx the “Best Local Band” for 2007
thank you) their way up Southern Soul charts. General
Johnson and the Chairmen of the Board remains one of the
most enduringly popular rhythm and blues bands in the
nation. General Johnson and the Chairmen of the Board have
performed on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson, on in
New York and the Hammersmith Odeon in London. Their
unique sound combines with the enduring popularity of their
songs to attract audiences of all ages.
Hailing from Central and Southwestern Virginia,
Seven Mile Ford is comprised of five multi
talented individuals. Christy Bowles (vocals),
Daryl Huddleston (bass), and rounding out the
dynamic line up is Dave Wirtanen (lead guitar).
Together these five have been rocking venues
through out Virginia , North Carolina , and
Tennessee for several years.
If you are looking to hit the dance floor you will
not be disappointed, their play list reads like a
Billboard music chart with everything from
country to hard driving rock.
They are touring with a stage full of
musical instruments, a ton of great
songs, and a show that rocks. It is a
recipe that has been drawing crowds
from coast to coast.
Mustang Sally is hot, hip and cool. They
are based in Nashville, but it has taken
telephones and airplanes, luck and
timing to bring them together to create
what is arguably the best all-girl touring
band in the nation.
Of course, many fans and critics have
been making a strong case that
Mustang Sally is one of the best bands
on the road...bar none.
Mustang Sally was created when
drummer Lisa Romeo began putting
together a band for an All Female Jam
Night at Nashvilles legendary Hall of
Fame Lounge. From the vast pool of
talent in Nashville, Lisa put the band
together and they soon branched out
from Music City to play other towns and
other clubs.
At first, many talent buyers would book
them for the novelty of an all girl band,
but their fun, crazy show and the solid
performances would earn Mustang
Sally a return engagement. Romeo
explains, "I think that individually and
collectively we just want to be
respected as musicians and
entertainers, even though it may be a
little tough to get around the stereotype
at first."
Drawing from diverse backgrounds and
musical influences, Mustang Sally has
developed into a hot seven-piece band
that offers edgy country music with a
contemporary feel and traditional roots.
The reputation of this band has grown
for good reason. Featuring a live show
that sizzles, lots of attitude and polish, it
doesnt take much past the first song for
Mustang Sally to earn the respect they
seek Mustang Sally
Burning Bridges is passionate about
performing live music, and once they've
decided to cover a song... they make it
their own. They are extremely energetic
and sing a variety of styles moving their
audiences to dance, dance, dance.

MARCH 7th 2009
Steve Richard, in early 2008, is quickly
moving towards his goal of joining
other country icons like Montgomery
Gentry , Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban
as they push the proverbial envelope
and rock out on the edge.
The instantly infectious song “Faster
Faster” is about how crazy life can be
in the 21st Century. Written and
produced by John Rich of the
superstar duo Big & Rich, it’s one of
the expected singles from Richard’s
highly anticipated self-titled debut
album, also due to hit the charts in
2008.
Richard’s dynamic stage presence and
trademark gritty vocals reflect years of
paying dues, and this charismatic
singer-songwriter enters the fray with a
scorching track record as a seasoned
vet on the road. At one point
performing 100 club dates a year,
Richard has also toured the nation as
both a headliner and opening act for
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Dickey Betts, .38
Special, Van Zant and Junior Brown.
Gwen grew up in rural North
Dakota, riding horses and
bringing in the cattle at round
up. At the age of 3 she entered
her first talent show and has
been performing ever since.
Whether it was with her mom and
dad with their band, Midnight
Ride, or out on her own, Gwen
never gave up the chance to be
heard.
After the urging of several A&R
representatives in Nashville,
Gwen moved to Nashville. Her
first performance there was at the
famous Bluebird Cafe where she
shared her songwriting talents.
Since then, she has become one
of the house bands at the world
re-knowned Wildhorse Saloon
and has opened up for
Sugarland, The Oak Ridge Boys,
Don Williams, Emerson Drive and
Warner Brothers recording artist,
Ray Scott. Gwen performs
everything from her own originals
to covers by Trick Pony to Patsy
Cline. Her voice has been
compared to such stylists as
Dolly Parton, Pam Tillis and
Lorrie Morgan. Gwen is not
afraid to jump out into the crowd
and has been known to
somersault across the stage a
time or two.
Gwen loves traveling around the
country and meeting new fans.
She states that, "it's the smiles on
people’s faces that keeps me
going”.
